Our Vision

Our Spirituality Centre invites you to share with us the heritage of the Benedictine tradition. This way of life is based on hospitality, mutual respect and a search for God.

In the confusion of our everyday life we need moments to pause for prayer and reflection and to listen to the gentle voice of God.

Through the conferences, talks, exchanges or just through quiet listening the Centre hopes to form people, coming from various backgrounds and faith communities, into a people who will proclaim by word and action, the beauty and dignity of life.

Sometimes it's good to leave the crowd -
To wrap yourself in the cloak of quietness -
To sit alone and reacquaint yourself with your dreams

Retreats, quiet days, personal reflection

We can offer you the space, the quiet, some time to reflect in peace away from your usual daily life.

Spend a day or more in personal prayer and quiet contemplation. We are able to provide spiritual guidance during your time her if you wish, and can cater for individuals and groups in simple, comfortable surroundings.

The Spirituality Centre is above the Benedictine parish church of Christ the King and adjacent to the monastery. You are warmly invited to join the monks at prayer for the Divine Office and in celebrating the Mass each day. We are well situated on the edge of the countryside with the 600 acre Trent Country Park nearby for walks and relaxation.
